The Six Paramitas: Walking the Bodhisattva's Path to Enlightenment

The 6 paramitas (or perfections) include generosity, moral ethics, patience, perseverance, meditative concentration, and wisdom. function as simple, practical and enlightening guidance on how to live our lives on and off the meditation cushion in a way that purifies disturbing emotions and negative karma into virtuous activity. Lama-la has suggested that we bring our Jewel Ornament of Liberation text to this teaching.

Please bring your copies of The Jewel Ornament of Liberation with you.

Friday, 3/19, 7-9pm
Introduction to Meditating on Emptiness: Wisdom-Awareness

Emptiness meditation is likened to the experience of pouring water into water or stirring butter into butter. When one learns to abide in the inherently natural state of wisdom-awareness the paramitas manifest spontaneously in one's day to day actions, like breast milk passing from mother to babe. Lamala will introduce us to emptiness-awareness meditation practice and if we're lucky - it's result!

Saturday, 3/20, 9am-12pm, & 2-5pm
Light Amassment of Blessings: Guru Yoga
Teachings & Group Meditation Practice

Guru Yoga is the practice of merging one's mind with the wisdom mind of the teacher. This very special Guru Yoga sadhana was transmitted by Garchen Rinpoche just a few years ago and written down by Lama Gabe for Rinpoche's disciples, after a very persistent student made supplications to him.

Sunday, 3/21, 9am-12pm & 2-5pm
White Dzambhala Empowerment: Summoning Good Fortune
